WINE: Christopher Carpenter

NOT only an acclaimed maker of wines from "extreme" mountain terroirs, Christopher Carpenter is also a firm film fanatic (particularly of Midnight Express), the music of The Beatles (his visit to London included a pilgrimage to Abbey Road's zebra crossing) and cocktails (he works Friday nights for "fun" and "grounding" behind the counter of the Rutherford Grill, 10 minutes from the winery)...
