Obscene Paramours

ANOTHER 'BLOCKBUSTER' ENTRY from Ben Glaetzer, Protégé of uber critic, Robert Parker (previous post), this time in the guise of a wine fashioned entirely from the curious Petit Verdot, more commonly known for lending sparing-support to Claret. Whilst this massively concentrated wine is not particularly pleasant, it is well made. The nose suggests steeped stinging nettles, violets, perhaps even Bêtises de Cambrai sweets. On the palate the niggling greenery (virilant weeds) prevail. [£8.29, Oddbins]
These obscene Paramours (right) were thrust into my posession earlier today. The European wine lake bottled. Jokes in suspenders. Bordello Bordeaux. When the house gets arid again, I will open them and write the results (including potential hangover rating).
