Cry Me a Rivaner

A LOVELY, LITHE, calming Crémant, met in a Chablis co-op last week, [approx £9, Oenotek] tickled my fancy before dinner yesterday.

With strikingly vivacious bubbles - yet tight and uniform - this grapey wine (perhaps packed with Pinot Noir) evoked strawberry angel delight and just a touch of coffee. The best Crémant I have tasted.

The Monmouth Coffee Company have brought back their well-regarded Cuban roast after seven months absence. Malty, intense, but soft, this is sublime espresso coffee.
