Well off, not Fat Cat

STILL PLOUGHING the modern Spanish seam, this blend of crunchy asparagus-tinged Sauvignon Blanc with a shade of citrusy Parellada is the product of a high, cool single vineyard (or 'Pago') in Penedes. About half the liquid is matured for a few months in well seasoned American oak lending a bit of body - well off but not fat cat.

A late night thought (yesterday): wine is culture corked. Unlike a book - the reading of which is a personal experience - a bottle gets better when shared, hence this blog, a means of conferring thoughts to fellow imbibers.
